If a Hired Hand picks it up, the only way to get it back from him without destroying it is to pick up the Hired Hand, run against a wall, and then place the Hired Hand on the ground in the corner where you were running. It is incredibly fragile and will break if it is knocked out of your hand.

Walk inside the treasure room and bomb the walls that are closest to the Eggplant Child and then teleport to it and pick up the Eggplant Child to get the acheivement. Bomb down to where the shopkeep is (the one you can see in the walls holding a shotgun) until he is either dead or has left the area. You also need to have a shopkeep guarding treasure close by to where the Eggplant Child, hopefully to the right or left of it.
